How to remove OEM Wallpaper

Original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, is a term that refers to containment-based re-branding, namely where one company sells the product of another company under its own brand. OEM refers to the company that originally manufactured the product. OEM software is purchased alongside a system or hardware parts. Certain OEM programs have limited functionality, but most do not.

To remove the OEM Wallpaper:

1. Open Regedit on the server.
2. Go to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop.
3. Look for the Wallpaper value in the right-hand pane. It will probably point to C:\WINDOWS\system32\DELLWALL.BMP (in the case of a Dell).
4. Double-click on the Wallpaper value.
5. Delete the contents and click OK.
6. Close Regedit.
